Maya has always longed for a pet dog. After all, all of her friends have one. However, due to her father's allergy, she had accepted that she would never get the pet of her dreams. That is until one day a stray xoloitzcuintle follows her and her grandmother home from the park. National Board-Certified Spanish teacher and presenter born and raised in México. She found her passion for teaching Spanish in Wisconsin, where she has taught since 2004. Looking for ways to help students and teachers find compelling, comprehensible input in Spanish, Marta produces the podcast ¡Cuéntame! and writes short novels. This is Marta’s second book, following her debut with La princesa y el guerrero.
