Although Giulia and Laura are both students at liceo Minghetti in Bologna, Italy, they don’t interact with one another much until they are assigned as partners on a history project. Giulia assumes Laura leads a perfect, blissful life as the conventionally popular girl at the school. Laura judges Giulia for her shy demeanor and reserved nature. However, the girls come to realize that the preconceived notions they had created for each other are far from the truth. In the midst of this realization, Giulia also discovers a secret talent of her literature teacher, Professore Minelli.
