Andrea Caulfield has over 16 years experience teaching French and Spanish in diverse educational settings. She is currently the world languages coordinator for a large urban school district, where she has the privilege of mentoring teachers in sustainable, high-leverage practices that build proficiency and turn language classrooms into vibrant hubs of learning and connection. She believes in the transformative power of reading and storytelling, and that connecting students with the right book can unlock the gate to becoming a lifelong learner. She hopes that this first novel, set in Quebec where she is originally from, will be that book for someone in your class.

AnneMarie Chase has been happily teaching high school Spanish in Northern Nevada for more than 20 years and occasionally serves as the World Language Methods instructor at the University of Nevada, Reno. A passionate advocate for Comprehensible Input, AnneMarie is also a product of CI instruction—her own high school Spanish teacher was an early adopter of TPRS who sparked her lifelong love of language and culture. She holds a master's degree in teaching Spanish and brings endless energy, creativity, and playfulness to the classroom. When she's not teaching or traveling, she shares classroom adventures, misadventures, and practical teaching ideas at senorachase.com.
