Dynamic Language Class Chat Mat Getting to Know Each Other

Dynamic Language Class Chat Mats make it easy for beginning learners to have successful conversations that feel natural, engaging, and achievable.

Instead of relying on English, waiting for teacher support, or struggling through awkward silences, students use Spanish-only prompts, intuitive icons, and a clear conversational flow to communicate with confidence in the target language.

Every interaction builds fluency, strengthens relationships, and reinforces the idea that they can communicate in Spanish!

Designed around familiar Spanish level 1 and 2 topics, Dynamic Language Class Chat Mats transform vocabulary practice into meaningful communication. They fit seamlessly into your existing lessons, helping students apply what they've learned in authentic conversations without extra planning for you. As students experience success speaking the language, their motivation grows—and so does their willingness to take risks, participate, and keep learning throughout the year.

Created by expert educator Silvia Torta, Dynamic Language Class Chat Mats are built on years of classroom-tested, task-based instruction that puts students at the center of the learning process. Each chat mat provides the support students need to communicate independently while giving you the confidence that every conversation is purposeful, accessible, and productive. With Dynamic Language Class Chat Mats, you can create a classroom where students build language skills, confidence, and meaningful connections—one conversation at a time.
