Overview

April Morning is the historical fictional account of one boy’s experiences in the battles of Lexington and Concord. As the novel opens, Adam is frustrated with his strict, demanding father and aggravated by his pesky younger brother. He is developing romantic feelings for a young woman he has known for some time and, like many young people today, is being forced to grow up too fast. During the novel, readers gain a clearer picture of the realities of war and recognize that Adam’s father and paternal grandmother teach him invaluable lessons about life and love.
