We join Ana (from the first Blaine Ray reader, Pobre Ana) after her trip to Mexico. She has changed a great deal, and jumps at another opportunity to travel to Buenos Aires, Argentina. Great tool for learning about Past Tenses in Spanish

Pobre Ana comes back with a story in the past tense! A great way to practice preterite and imperfect. There are some inaccuracies in the story (such as claiming that almost eveybody dances tango in Argentina) but I understand it makes the plot and the storyline move forward. The book also includes the lyrics to a milonga but I cannot find this song anywhere to share with my students; I believe it's made up. Illustrations are on point and vocabulary is just the right level for my class.
