Illustrated Presidents Poster

Great visual aid! my kids are very curious on why a certain president was wearing this or holding that in the poster. It's a great conversation starter!

This poster has been a class favorite. All of my students have enjoyed walking through the class and viewing former presidents as political cartoons. Definitely recommend to all U.S. history teachers.

My students love to check out every minor detail drawn into each president and ask why it is there. "Why does Harrison have X's for eyes?" "Why is Kennedy holding a football?" They are learning background information about the Presidents or the eras simply by looking at the poster.

I love this poster so much, I ordered 2 of them to put up in different locations in my room. I put it right by my door and it is a focal point every day for different students in my class to comment on the Presidents. I/they love the illustrations and they try to guess what the props are for in their connection to the president. I've even used this poster to introduce presidents and for my New Nation unit. HIGHLY recommend it!! It isn't just another boring poster. Your students will love it and learn from it! :)

I needed to update to include the 46th President. My students enjoy the puns in the pictures which really help them remember the importance of the term for each President.
