Our 80+ Flipped Culture Lessons for the Spanish Classroom book helps teachers introduce students to Spanish culture using lessons as out-of-class assignments or as in-class computer activities. These lessons are excellent tools for students to experience the Spanish worldview. “Flipping” is when the teacher no longer lectures but uses class time to work with the students. Teachers use their time to interact with students and do more guided learning. Flipping the classroom gives students a greater knowledge of Spanish culture than ever before, as teachers will have additional time to teach vocabulary and grammar through in-class assignments. This book contains worksheets for the students to complete and bring to class for discussions.

About the Author

Sarah Hopper earned her bachelor's degree in French Education. She holds a master's degree in Second Language Education. She also holds certifications to teach French and Spanish in New York State, has studied abroad in France and Mexico, and has taught French and Spanish for 15 years at all levels. Her teaching has included distance learning courses, as well as traditional classes. She was nationally recognized as a 2014 PBS Digital Innovator. She loves learning new strategies and tools, and is currently pursuing certification to teach English as a Second Language. She resides with her three children and husband in northern New York.
