Short, Short Stories Make a BIG Impression!

Description

Twenty-one short, short stories, in present tense, hook teen readers with one-page topical tales. Thorough discussion questions (written and oral) follow each chapter and ensure a beginning student's complete understanding of the story and dialogue. Use each as a filler lesson, or wrap a unit around the interaction and vocabulary. Examples of titles: Un mensaje de texto, Caos en el cine, Una hamburguesa en McDonald's and Una tarde en el Palacio Nacional. Teaching suggestions are included; a complete glossary, listed by chapter, is in the back of the book.

On page 4 of La visita de un genio "Le dice nombre es Rodrigo..." Otherwise I think I can use this in my classes, but I will have to watch for any awkward wording. I like that the stories are focused on comprehensible language and the high-frequency words.
