Relatable Reading for Second-Year Spanish Students

Description

A Second-Year Miguelito Reader!

As Susana receives monthly letters from Miguelito in Venezuela, she begins to write him back telling him all about the events that are happening in her life: a surprise birthday party, moving to a new home, helping organize a school-wide toy sale, vacations, and her brother's graduation from high school.

Designed to accompany the original Cartas a Susana book, this reader contains six additional letters written for second-year students. With each chapter, students are given the opportunity to read entirely in the past tense, while also developing their vocabulary skills. As always, this reader includes reading activities, and a complete vocabulary list. With illustrations by Peter Tracy.

  • Unique Words: extensive
  • Tense(s): multiple

©2016. Level 2. Middle school, high school. 5 x 7 inches. Softcover, 56 pages.

Cartas a Miguelito

I bought this and other readers to provide enrichment to my students. We read the first "carta" about Susana's surprise birthday party. My students enjoyed reading it and were able to do the comprehension exercises at the end. My plan next is to order a set of another series, preferably one with comprehension or discussion questions at the end, for reading as a whole class. Thank you for this and for reading my review.
