The Beginner Series ¡Listos! IPA Packs are designed for early beginner, novice-low Spanish students. They are built around simplified themes and textbook-guided topics which are designed to prepare students for later work with higher-level, more in-depth IPAs. Each pack includes authentic resources that are carefully curated for the novice level, with grammar pop-ups and activities in all 3 modes with an emphasis on high-frequency words and brief, plain-language grammar explanations.
This pack includes step-by-step instructions, and reading and listening comprehension activities that follow the ACTFL model. It is complete with an explanation of an IPA and how to use it, and nine Interpretive Tasks that break down the content, increase recognition of key words and phrases, develop context awareness, and promote language usage. In addition, it provides creative options for writing and/or speaking Interpersonal and Presentational Tasks, answer keys, and rubrics for each mode.

About the Authors
Melissa Creamer and Elaine Swope have been teaching in Northeast Ohio for more than 10 years. They have similar teaching philosophies and styles, and have been working together to incorporate Integrated Performance Assessments and activities in their classes for the past several years. Together, they have presented sessions at the OFLA Annual Conference, ACTFL and have been guest speakers in education methodology classes for their alma mater.
