This pack includes step-by-step instructions, and reading and listening comprehension activities that follow the ACTFL model. Complete with an explanation of an IPA and how to use it, and nine Interpretive Tasks that break down the content, increase recognition of key words and phrases, develop context awareness, and promote language usage. In addition, it provides creative options for writing and/or speaking Interpersonal and Presentational Tasks, answer keys, and intermediate-level rubrics for each mode.

Melissa Creamer and Elaine Swope have been teaching in Northeast Ohio for more than 10 years. They have similar teaching philosophies and styles, and have been working together to incorporate Integrated Performance Assessments and activities in their classes for the past several years. Together, they have presented sessions at the OFLA Annual Conference, ACTFL and have been guest speakers in education methodology classes for their alma mater.
