Great DBQs for World History

This set of DBQs is exactly what anyone needs who is trying to do work with primary or secondary sources, essay writing, DBQ structures, or just about any historical learning in-between. The digital copies mean you can print one document, one DBQ, or the whole thing and focus your teaching to what you hope to achieve.

This truly does beat going to Google and trying to find PDFs of DBQs for your specific topics. Hands down the best collection out there.

Big Disappointment!!!

My 9th grader just completed the Document-Based Question Activities (for U.S. History) and it was a wonderful resource. So, I purchased this set thinking that it would be just as great. However, I just received my world history set in the mail and I am so disappointed. The ancient civilization section only mentions Egypt ( no Mesopotamia, India, China, etc.). There is nothing on Greece. The author should have made one section for all ancient civilizations and one for the classical time period, instead of one section on Egypt and one on Rome. The section titled "World Religions" only has Islam. No other religions! Not Christianity, Judaism, Buddhism, etc.! It should be called "The Spread of Islam". Then, the section on the Crusades only focuses on the violence of the crusaders, not what led a up to the crusades. Is the author unaware of the Muslim invasions of North Africa, India, and Spain before the crusades, and that the Muslim attempt to conquer Constantinople made them reach out to the pope for help. Not to mention that they were brutally attacking Christian pilgrims who were going to the Holy Land. This book uses primary sources to paint a very biased picture. It is a huge disappointment!
