Easy stories to work with at any level

I started using this book a few weeks ago. When I first read the stories, they felt mediocre. However I started developing a strategy to use the basic structures of the stories to have students develop their own stories. I create a Mad Libs style approach and asked students to give me key characters, places, objects familiar to them. I found this adaptation to work very well by engaging students. You can also leave out some details or reword vocabulary to make them attainable for beginners as well I like the short length of the stories and use a resource for storytelling in class.
