Deb Navarre Readers...

French students are powerless to resist these tales of homework and heartbreak, travels abroad and troubles at school, young love and true friendship! Relatable characters and school-appropriate yet teen-relevant themes draw students in, immersing them in first-year grammar and vocabulary topics.

Use Deb Navarre readers with your Level One French classes or as review with higher levels. This highly readable series is written almost entirely in the present tense, and each one is supported by a thorough glossary containing all the structures and vocabulary used in each reader. Comprehension questions in French at the end of each chapter help students check their understanding, plus a What Do You Think? question for oral or written completion. The best way to encourage reading in any language is to provide interesting content. Deb Navarre readers are full of themes teens want to read about!

This is a fun one!

I have been teaching this book for at least 4-5 years. It's the perfect activity for after Spring Break when there's testing, field trips, end of year craziness. Student read it once individually, without resources and then go through it with their partner or group members of their choice. Plus, they loooooooove the drama of the story :)
