Victor runs into the café. He sees Enrique and rushes over to him. He asks Enrique if he has seen Karla. Enrique tells Victor that she is at work, but Victor tells him that Karla never made it. 

They attempt to contact her, but receive no answer. Worried, Victor explains to Enrique that Karla could be in danger. As they set out to find her, they receive a cryptic email from Karla and a threatening text from her phone. However, they soon find out that someone has Karla’s phone and is following her. Victor and Enrique also know they must find Karla - before it is too late.

Eric is a 2021 ACTFL Teacher of Year Finalist and he is the author of a series of TPRS/CI readers and other books for the World Language classroom. He also authored the stories for levels 1 and 2 for Voces' German curriculum Unsere Geschichten. Eric regularly presents on topics that help educators facilitate language acquisition, engagement, and community in the classroom. His students enjoy a vibrant program, where they also have the opportunity to travel abroad and experience culture firsthand.
