Leveled Mastery Readers™ are designed to meet the needs of the struggling readers in your English classroom.
There are three versions of the iconic work, each written at a different Lexile® range: 900L-1000L (original text), 700L-800L, and 600L-700L. This allows you to build reading stamina and confidence in struggling readers while providing them with a meaningful and rigorous shared experience with their peers.
The vocabulary, word count, and syntax have been adjusted for the 700L-800L and 600L-700L ranges to increase accessibility for a broader range of student ability levels. Plot, theme, and author’s voice remain intact across all lexile ranges.
