About the Author

Margaret Ann Shamshoian is a Dallas, Texas, native currently living in Fresno, California. She attended Emory University and earned a degree in English and Educational Studies, and she holds an English/Language Arts teaching credential from Fresno Pacific University. She has spent six years working in high school classrooms, teaching mostly Reading Intervention, 11th grade English, and 9th grade English in a Business/Technology Pathway. Her favorite parts of teaching are connecting with students over literature and helping them to learn more about themselves and the world through reading, writing, and discussion. Her favorite books are East of Eden by John Steinbeck and Life of Pi by Yann Martel. In her spare time, Margaret Ann enjoys yoga, cooking, and spending time with her husband and one-year-old daughter.
