About the Author
Carol Loria is a retired elementary art and Spanish teacher. Her story is based on her then nine-year-old daughter Olivia's obsession with turtles. Since 2005, the pair have made multiple treks to coastal Mexico and Costa Rica to release thousands of turtle hatchlings into the Pacific Ocean.
